Terms of service

Effective October 4, 2026

These terms apply when you use www.vetavelle.com and the Vetavelle application (together, the "Service"), provided by Vetavelle ("Vetavelle", "we", "us"). By creating an account, signing in or using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you use the Service for a veterinary practice, you agree on behalf of that practice and confirm you are authorized to do so.

1. Who can use Vetavelle

Vetavelle is a business service for veterinary practices and their staff. You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding agreement. You may not use the Service if you are barred from doing so under applicable law.

2. Early access

Vetavelle is in development. During early access, features may be incomplete, change or be removed, and the Service may be unavailable at times. Please do not rely on early-access features as your only record system, and keep your own copies of important information.

3. Your account

  • Give accurate information and keep it up to date.
  • Keep your sign-in details secure. If you sign in with Google, the security of your Google account also protects your Vetavelle account.
  • You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly at legal@vetavelle.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
  • Practice owners and administrators are responsible for who they invite and the roles they assign.

4. Your practice's data

Your practice owns the information it puts into Vetavelle, including client, patient and medical records ("Practice Data"). You give us permission to host, store, process and display Practice Data only as needed to provide, secure and support the Service for you. We do not sell Practice Data.

You are responsible for having the rights and permissions needed to enter Practice Data, including any notices or consents your clients are owed under the laws and professional rules that apply to you. You can export Practice Data while your account is active. Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy policy.

5. Clinical responsibility

Vetavelle is practice management software. It does not provide veterinary advice, diagnosis or treatment. Licensed professionals at your practice remain responsible for all clinical decisions, prescriptions and communications with clients, and should check information such as lab values, dosages and reminders before relying on them. Do not use the Service as the only way to handle emergencies.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service in violation of any law or professional rule, or to infringe anyone's rights.
  • Access, or try to access, another practice's data or any part of the Service you are not authorized to use.
  • Upload malicious code, or interfere with or overload the Service.
  • Copy, resell or reverse engineer the Service, except where the law allows it despite this restriction.
  • Use the Service to send spam or communications your recipients have not agreed to receive.

7. Fees

Early access is currently free. Before we charge for any part of the Service, we will tell you the price and the terms that apply, and you can decide whether to continue.

8. Third-party services

The Service may connect to services from other companies, such as Google sign-in, laboratories, imaging providers or payment processors. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for them.

9. Our intellectual property and your feedback

We own the Service, including its software, design and content, apart from Practice Data. These terms give you the right to use the Service, not ownership of it. If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them without obligation to you.

10. Suspension and ending your use

You can stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms, if your use creates a risk to the Service or other users, or if we stop offering the Service. Where we can, we will give notice and a reasonable opportunity to export Practice Data before it is deleted, unless the law prevents it.

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

12. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Vetavelle will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim and US$100. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

13. Indemnity

You agree to defend and hold Vetavelle harmless from claims arising from your Practice Data or your breach of these terms, to the extent the law allows.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will post changes on this page and update the effective date, and tell account holders about significant changes by email or in the application before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
